For the ultimate beading surface - add a Vellux pad to fit the Lapp Topper tray. We custom make our pads to fit the entire top of the Lapp Topper tray. They come in creamy IVORY which makes a perfect neutral beading surface!! The beads rest on the surface and your needle doesn't catch in the pad!! Pads are machine wash and dry for easy care.

I've sold the Lapp Toppers for nearly 10 years now and I continue to get great comments back from customers - everyone who owns one of these loves it! And don't forget they make a fabulous and thoughtful gift for a friend or relative! Of course these work for so many different activities, like eating or writing... but this is the best portable beading surface I have tried. I love the way it feels on my lap, very steady and super comfortable with four inches of polystyrene bead filled bottom padding. Made of virtually carefree ultra-soft leatherette vinyl with a fabric bottom for breathability. This table is ultra stable, it doesn't slide off your lap, and there is plenty of room for everything (Ottlite, etc.) - they measure 23"x16"x5 , Check out the specially designed contoured shape - curved to fit close to your body, Acryllic tray with a removable cup holder (which you could use for beads as well, LOL) can be reversed to accomodate right or left handers and removes for cleaning, (dishwasher safe) It also comes with a fitted non slip mat. The edges are rolled and padded for extra comfort, and no beads can roll away and escape... There is also an 8" side pocket for the VCR remote or phone or whatever else you want to stick in it (bags of beads or whatever?)... and a loop to attach and hang on your luggage for traveling...
